Taco Soup

Kinsey's friend Sum

1 tablespoon Oil
1/2 Onion, diced
2 Garlic Cloves
3-5 Chicken breasts
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup Salsa (I use Herdez mild)
1 cup corn
½ cup peas
1/8 teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon cumin
1 can green chilies (chopped)

Optional: 1 can tomato sauce (for more tomato taste)
Sauté the oil, onion, and garlic with the cubed chicken. Add other ingredients in soup pot and simmer at least 10 minutes so spices can mingle. Top soup with sour cream, cheese, and tortilla chips. (I usually fry cut up strips of tortillas in place of chips)
